Sometimes we may struggle to find the words we are looking for or perhaps we cannot express an emotion we are experiencing. This is where working with the arts can be useful within therapy.
Sand trays, drawing or painting can be away to bridge unconscious emotions, thoughts or feelings into a persons awareness. We can express our emotion through the arts.
You do not need any art ability to take part in this type of therapy, it is not about having any particular art skill in the slightest. It's about creating something that is not pre-planned but produced from an energy felt within.
